Changing Children's Lives, One Book At A Time
When kids can't read, they can't succeed. Children who struggle with reading and reading comprehension are more likely to have deficits in other subjects such as math, science, and spoken language. More so, they are at heightened risk for chronic absence and failing to graduate high school. Studies show young children reading at home with their parents help prepare them for kindergarten success, which then helps them become successful in academic achievement.
What is Imagination Library?
Created in 1996 by famed country singer Dolly Parton to foster a love of reading in children and promote early childhood literacy. All participating children from birth to 5 years of age receive free age-appropriate books mailed directly to the child's home every month.
Donations are currently being sought to bring this program to Kenosha County. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on local businesses and community donors to help us make a strong impact in our community.
